Introduction

    The importance of training courses is not only limited to professional life, as most of us think but training courses aim to transfer knowledge and practical experiences that enrich the skills of individuals and enhance their self-confidence, which contributes to the preparation of cadres which in turn contributes to the development and progress of institutions. Therefore, Strategic Vision Training Center aims to enhance the skills and experiences of individuals through the strongest training programs to keep pace with every development in the labor market.

Objectives

The structure and content of the course is aimed at those currently in a maintenance role, for example mechanics. Many companies use this course to help build flexibility in their workforce, as part of a multi-skill program. Hardware engineers, electronics engineers, or those who have acquired the necessary knowledge of electrical principles from elsewhere can attend an abbreviated version of this course. An eligibility assessment is available upon request.

Course content:

  • Practice safe working methods on electrical systems
  • Understand relevant regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrate an understanding of electrical principles and units
  • Identify a wide range of electrical equipment and appliances and understand their operating principles/connections
  • Understand the principles of grounding/protection and associated protective devices
  • Demonstrate an understanding of electrical systems, types of switchgear and circuits
  • Diagnose the main defects and identify the associated symptoms
  • Work with a range of cable types and implement correct terminations and connections
  • Recognize the most common types of industrial engines and understand the requirements for their operation, connections and maintenance
  • Effectively use electrical test equipment and perform testing of a range of motors, solenoids, cables, etc. (using insulation, continuity, test forceps, etc.)
  • Identifying engine and power circuit faults
  • Use circuit diagrams as an aid in maintenance
  • Accessing electrical enclosures, replacing fuses, resetting overloads, etc.
  • Safely perform electrical insulation, dead testing, etc. on a wide variety of devices and circuits.
