Introduction

The unit undertakes all necessary procedures and means to implement safety engineering and to ensure that the prevailing conditions in the workplaces in the industrial facility provide adequate protection for the health and safety of the branch’s workers. Course content:

  • Familiarizing the participants with all the necessary procedures and means to ensure that the prevailing conditions in the workplaces in the industrial facility and its branches and its external projects provide complete protection for the health and safety of the workers in the branch.

  • Developing participants' awareness of the appropriate scientific and practical means to prevent accidents during work and workplaces and the dangers arising from the practice of industrial and other operations.

  • How to analyze and predict business risks

  • HACCP is defined as a system that helps to introduce and apply the principles of occupational health and safety in production processes.

  • This is done by examining each step of the work completion to identify the risks associated with each step and determining the best ways to control and prevent these risks.

  • HACCP steps

1- Get to know:

  • In which the risks present in the work or resulting from it are identified and the type of these risks is determined if they are:

  • Engineering - physical - chemical - biological - human hazards

2- Evaluation:

  • After identifying the risks in the work environment, these risks are evaluated and the extent of their danger to the health of workers as a result of exposure to them is determined.

  • The existing safety means are also evaluated and whether they are sufficient or not.

  • Samples are taken, analyzed and compared with standard specifications.

3- Control and control:

A system is followed to control and control these risks, in the following order:

  • Removal: the permanent removal of a hazard from the workplace.

  • Replacement: Replace equipment or materials with a higher risk with a less dangerous one.

  • Isolation: isolating the danger from direct contact with workers (identifying the location of the danger by means of signals or making breaks between the location of the danger and the worker).

  • Engineering control: Correction or modification of work tools to be safer.

  • Administrative control: laws must be established that obligate the worker to abide by the laws of occupational safety and health.

  • Use of personal protective equipment: PPE must be used to avoid injury
