Introduction

The importance of training courses is not only limited to professional life, as most of us think but training courses aim to transfer knowledge and practical experiences that enrich the skills of individuals and enhance their self-confidence, which contributes to the preparation of cadres which in turn contributes to the development and progress of institutions. Therefore, Strategic Vision Training Center aims to enhance the skills and experiences of individuals through the strongest training programs to keep pace with every development in the labor market.

Objective

Occupational safety in the safe handling of dangerous materials "transportation, storage, control, containment and response to their accidents", has begun to receive more and more attention from industrial establishments. Laws and legislations have been issued for the proper management and control of hazardous materials, where the laws set the main lines of hazardous waste management, but the directives to implement those laws and legislation in some institutions are still not fully implemented.

This training course was prepared to enhance the most important practices, standards and characteristics of the integrated system in preventive safety management to deal with hazardous materials and accident prevention standards. This course includes a specialized scientific approach to dangerous materials such as chemical, biological, radioactive, nuclear and explosives. By introducing modern methodologies, colloquial studies and workshops that simulate some real events that occurred in the past in some cities and countries, learning from the measures taken, rapid response and rapid intervention, in addition to explaining recent developments in any emergency crisis, and how to deal with hazardous materials.

This course aims to familiarize the affiliates with hazardous materials, distinguish the hazard code for materials according to the classification of the United Nations, and deal with them efficiently according to best practices during the inspection process, transport and accidents, and to identify global and local standards related to the way of dealing with materials that pose a danger to living organisms or the environment.

  • Standards for handling and transporting hazardous materials - HAZMAT
  • Standards for Communication in the Presence of Hazardous Substances - HAZCOM
  • Interim goals (detailed):
  • Familiarization with international health requirements and safety procedures for workers in the field of dealing with accidents of hazardous materials.
  • Determining the physical and chemical properties of hazardous materials.
  • Identification and detection of hazardous materials through international labels and symbols for hazardous materials.
  • Determining the risks associated with accidents of hazardous materials.
  • Defining individual protection missions appropriate to the type of hazardous materials incident.
