Introduction

Objective

  • Introducing participants to the nature, nature and types of accounting systems, their operating cycle since the beginning of the financial operations, the different stages of operation and accounting treatment, until the preparation and presentation of the published financial statements and their supplementary clarifications.
  • To highlight the relationship between accounting as an information system and the various departments and other sections of any organization, and the importance of interaction between them in serving the goals of organizations.
  • Enabling participants to manage, organize and implement the activities of accounting information systems, through various applications and practical cases, and on different sectors of industries.
  • Providing participants with the skills of preparing and presenting various financial statements in accordance with the latest requirements and issuances of international accounting standards.
  • To highlight how to use and benefit from the financial reports through critical reading of them, in a way that enables us to judge the strength and strength of the financial centers of the establishments, and which contributes to the strengthening of many administrative decisions.

Course content:

First day: Accounting systems in organizations

  • An introduction to the objectives, nature and types of accounting systems in organizations.
  • The basic components of accounting science.
  • Financial operations and the accounting system cycle.
  • Double entry and registration cycle...
  • Cases applied to capital formation operations, monetary operations, and various practical cases.

The second day: the accounting cycle (evidence and deportation)

  • Proof of financial operations related to purchases, sales, returns, discounts, practical cases.
  • Proof of financial operations related to commercial papers (receipt of a receipt paper, and acceptance of a paper of payment) practical cases.
  • Posting of accounts to the ledgers.
  • Balance ledgers and practical cases.

Third day: closing accounts

  • Calculations of the score
  • Inventory adjustments
  • Preparing the trial balance with balances and totals.

Fourth day: Presentation of the financial statements

  • Statement of financial position
  • income list
  • Statement of Cash Flows
  • Preparing the notes complementing the financial statements.
  • An integrated workshop for the preparation and presentation of financial statements.

Fifth day: critical reading of the financial statements.

  • The concept, importance, stages and objectives of the financial analysis of the financial statements.
  • Critical reading of score calculations.
  • Cash reading of the statement of financial position.
